How does it all work?
1. Self Pay or Insurance?
At Challenges Conquered Counseling Services, we believe that accessibility to mental health services is crucial for everyone. That's why we offer Self-Pay options, allowing individuals to take control of their mental well-being without worrying about insurance coverage or limitations. Our Self-Pay options are designed to provide flexibility and choice, ensuring that our clients have the freedom to explore and invest in their mental health journey. Whether you're looking for short-term support or long-term therapy, our Self-Pay options can accommodate your needs and provide you with the care and guidance you deserve. Don't let financial considerations hinder your path to healing – choose self-pay and embark on a transformative and empowering journey towards a better tomorrow.
At Challenges Conquered Counseling Services, we strive to make therapy accessible and affordable for our clients. We are pleased to inform you that we accept various insurances, including Aetna, AvMed, Cigna, Curative, Florida Blue, Mertiain Health, Oscar Health, Optum, Surest, Tricare, UMR and United HealthCare. Also we are in network with the following EAPs: Mutual of Omaha and HealthAdvocate. With this wide range of accepted providers, we can accommodate a diverse set of individuals seeking support and guidance. It's important to note that copay and deductibles for our services may vary depending on your specific insurance plan. We understand that navigating insurance policies can be overwhelming, so our dedicated team is here to assist you in understanding your coverage and helping you make the most of your benefits. Our goal is to ensure that you receive the care you need while minimizing any financial stress.
2. In Person or Telehealth?
At Challenges Conquered Counseling Services, we are dedicated to providing our clients with flexible options to ensure their mental health needs are met. That's why we offer both in-person sessions and telehealth sessions. Whether you prefer the convenience of receiving therapy from the comfort of your own home or the personal connection of face-to-face interactions, our highly trained counselors are here to support you every step of the way. We understand that everyone's circumstances are unique, and we strive to accommodate individual preferences to create a safe and effective therapeutic environment. So whether you choose to visit us at our welcoming office or join us virtually, rest assured that your well-being is our top priority.
3. Initial Session
Here at Challenges Conquered Counseling Services, we understand the deep significance of embarking on your personal journey towards self-discovery and embracing personal growth. With our team of highly qualified and experienced professionals, we wholeheartedly devote ourselves to guiding you in unearthing the tremendous potential that resides within you. In our serene and secure environment, we facilitate open and heartfelt discussions where you can freely articulate your motivations for seeking counseling, as well as the profound impact your current challenges have on various facets of your life. By delving into your unique background and thoroughly exploring your individual objectives for therapy, we are fully dedicated to empowering you on your quest to unearth the most authentic and remarkable version of yourself. The short version: getting started takes three steps. Choose self-pay or insurance, choose in-person or telehealth, then book a first session with a therapist on our team. You can request an appointment online or call (954) 600-9403.
What a first session at Challenges Conquered Counseling looks like
Your first appointment is a conversation, not a test. You and your therapist talk about what brought you in, what is making daily life harder right now, and what you would like therapy to help you work on. There is no pressure to tell your whole story at once, and you can set the pace. The aim of the first visit is to leave knowing who you will be working with, how often to meet, and what the next few sessions will cover. If you are not sure which therapist fits, the team page lists each clinician's focus areas, and our Fort Lauderdale therapy page explains the kinds of support we offer.
Before you request an appointment
It helps to have three things nearby: your insurance card if you plan to use benefits, a few days or times that usually work for you, and a sense of whether you prefer to meet in person or by video. If you are coming as a pair, our couples therapy page describes how joint sessions work. For one-on-one support with worry or stress, see anxiety therapy in Fort Lauderdale. When you are ready, the appointment request form takes a couple of minutes, or you can call (954) 600-9403.
Frequently asked questions
Do you take insurance, or can I pay out of pocket?
Both. We offer self-pay, and we accept Aetna, AvMed, Cigna, Curative, Florida Blue, Meridian Health, Oscar Health, Optum, Surest, Tricare, UMR and United HealthCare. We are also in network with the EAPs Mutual of Omaha and HealthAdvocate. Your copay and deductible depend on your plan, so check your benefits or ask our team.
Can I do therapy online instead of coming to the office?
Yes. We offer in-person sessions at our Fort Lauderdale office and telehealth sessions by video. The U.S. Department of Health and Human Services keeps a plain-language guide to getting started with telehealth at telehealth.hhs.gov.
Where is the Fort Lauderdale office?
800 East Cypress Creek Road, Suite 431, Fort Lauderdale, FL 33334. It is on the 4th floor, and you can enter through the Hampton Inn parking entrance, then take the elevator to the lobby and let the receptionist know you have arrived.
How do I choose a therapist?
Each clinician lists their focus areas on their own page, linked from the our team page. If you would like help matching, tell us what you are looking for when you request an appointment and we will point you to a good fit.
Is what I share in therapy private?
Therapy is confidential, with the limited legal exceptions your therapist will explain at the start. Please do not put detailed health information in the online request form; save that for your session.
What if I need help right now?
Counseling appointments are not an emergency service. If you or someone you know is in crisis, call or text 988 to reach the 988 Suicide and Crisis Lifeline, or call 911.
