Anxiety Therapy in Florida

Anxiety does not always look like panic. For a lot of the people we work with, it looks like lying awake rehearsing a conversation, checking an email six times before sending it, or turning down plans because the thought of going is heavier than the plan itself. Challenges Conquered Counseling provides anxiety therapy to adults, teens, and children throughout Florida, in person and by secure video.

What therapy actually does here is practical. Your therapist helps you name the pattern, the thoughts that set the alarm off and the habits that keep it ringing, and then works with you on ways to interrupt it. Depending on what fits you, that can include cognitive behavioral work, facing avoided situations at a pace you set, and simple skills for getting your body out of a stress response. You will not be handed a worksheet and sent home. Sessions are a conversation, and you help set the direction.

The first session is mostly listening. Your therapist asks what brought you in, what your days look like, what you have already tried, and what you want to feel like six months from now. From there the two of you agree on a starting point. Many people meet weekly at first and space sessions out as things get easier.

We see clients at our Fort Lauderdale office at 800 E Cypress Creek Rd Suite 431, and at our Jacksonville office at 10163 Fortune Pkwy G40. If neither is close, telehealth covers the rest of the state, from Tampa and Orlando to Miami, Naples, Tallahassee and the Panhandle. All you need is a private room and a phone or laptop. Video sessions are the same length and the same work as in-person ones, and many people find it easier to keep an appointment when it does not cost them an hour of driving.

We accept many major insurance plans. Call us before you book and we will check your benefits and tell you what a session will cost you, so there is no guessing.

If anxiety has been running your calendar, your sleep, or your relationships, it is worth an hour of your week. Call Challenges Conquered Counseling at (954) 600-9403 to ask questions or schedule a first appointment. We will help you find a therapist who fits, at a time that works, in the office or on video.
